Guidance for maintaining payment security is provided in PCI security standards and its PCI DSS Version 3.2 sets the latest technical and operational requirements for entities accepting or processing payment transactions. While the PCI DSS requirements aren’t new, the technological environment and threat landscape have evolved dramatically in recent years.
